Holiday Schedule

Six days have been set aside when the entire College will be closed for traditional holidays, and six days have been reserved as “floating holidays” which employees may use whenever they choose, with supervisor’s permission. Please contact Sue DeLyser in Human Resources with any questions.

Should the holiday fall on a Saturday, it will be observed on Friday. If it falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on a Monday.

• Monday, May 26, 2008: Memorial Day
• Friday, July 4, 2008: Independence Day
• Thursday & Friday, November 27 & 28, 2008: Thanksgiving
• Thursday, December 25, 2008: Christmas
• Thursday, January 1, 2009: New Year’s Day

Six Floating Holidays: To be used at employees discretion with approval of their supervisor. The six floating holidays must be used by the following June 30th or they will be lost.

Employees who have worked here prior to June 30th will get 6 floating Holidays. If you began working after 7/1, you will accrue floating holidays during time of employment up to June 30th at 1/2 day per month. i.e. September hire date will accrue 5 days, February hire date will accrue 2 1/2 days up to end of June, etc.
